⚠️ A Parent's Warning: This Website's Critical Flaw Left My Son Unable to See


I'm writing this as a warning about my terrible online shopping experience. We ordered a pair of glasses for our 12-year-old, but he said he had trouble seeing with them. After a doctor's visit, we learned the issue. We were informed that the pupil distance (PD) was incorrect. The glassesusa site does not prompt you to provide the PD number, and if you don’t know to provide it, they will just assume a value. Of course, that means the value will be wrong for many buyers. This critical oversight, combined with an automated, unreachable customer service system, is what forced me to detail my frustrating journey to get a simple correction.

Customer: I've been trying to reach a human for days. You sent glasses for my 12-year-old son with an adult's pupil distance because your website never even asked for it. He can't see properly!

CS Rep: I am very sorry to hear about the issue with your son's glasses and the difficulty you've had contacting us. I can certainly understand your frustration. Could you please provide your order number so I can assist you?

Customer: It’s #XXXXX. The point is, your system is flawed. We had to go back to the doctor to find out what you should have asked for. Your email support is also incredibly slow.

CS Rep: Thank you for that information. I sincerely apologize for our system's oversight and the delays you've experienced. We can absolutely remake the lenses with the correct PD at no charge. I will email you a link to start the exchange process.

Customer: But I have to send the wrong pair back first, right? So my son has no glasses while we wait for you to fix your mistake. That seems completely backward.

CS Rep: I understand that is a major inconvenience, and I am sorry. That is our standard policy, but I will place a note on your file to expedite the new order the moment we receive your return.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
